安戴托昆波因賽後練罰球後續事件引發爭議。 美聯社安戴托昆波（Giannis Antetokounmpo）在客場對76人一戰罰球15投僅4中，還飽受噓聲伺候。賽後他特別留下來練習罰球，然後卻發生疑似不滿費城主場工作人員因使用梯子整理場地擋住了籃框，進而伸手推倒梯子的場景，畫面被拍下後也在網路引發熱議，安戴托昆波也再次成了眾矢之的。
不過後續媒體也報導了整個事發過程。在安戴托昆波推倒梯子之前，76人替補中前鋒哈瑞爾（Montrezl Harrell）對於安戴托昆波比賽結束後還在練罰球這件事情感到十分不滿，直接把球拿走並拒絕交還給他。哈瑞爾甚至還嗆聲安戴托昆波：「這裡不是密爾瓦基！」

「我還有3次罰球要練，我當時進了7個，我想連續投進10次，他就把球從我手上拿走了。我感到非常驚訝，我認為這樣很不專業。」安戴托昆波說。
安戴托昆波透露就在哈瑞爾拿走球之後，他又去拿了兩顆球想要繼續練習，但工作人員已經在籃框之前放了一個梯子，準備整理球場。
「我回到那裡準備投籃，前面擺了一個梯子，我對著工作人員說，『你能把梯子挪一下嗎？』 他們拒絕了，我又再次說，『你們能把梯子挪一下嗎？』他們還是說不。我說，「我還有兩個罰球，你們能把梯子挪一下嗎？」他們還是說不。」安戴托昆波說。
之後就出現安戴托昆波上前自己要挪開梯子的畫面，結果梯子滑了一下就翻倒在地。安戴托昆波表示自己並非故意要把梯子推倒，只是發生在這一系列的過程中，而人們會把這些理解成他們想要的情況。
安戴托昆波表示：「我不知道我是否應該道歉，因為我不認為我做錯了什麼，除了梯子只是倒下來了。在經歷了一個罰球表現糟糕的夜晚之後，我覺得我有權利去提升我的技術。我想任何處在我這個位置上的人，如果出現一個像我這種情況的夜晚，都會再去場上練習罰球。如果他們不這麼做，他們便不會真正在乎自己的比賽。」
